In the late 1980s, the powers that be at Vessco, Inc. made a conscious decision. As a supplier of water treatment equipment for municipalities and other industries, the distributorship would emphasize quality suppliers offering superior products, service, and support. 

Design Tanks has a penchant for delivering quality tanks at an affordable price. It accomplishes that feat by matching its experienced and skilled engineering/manufacturing team with the best in technology. One piece of that technology has been making a positive impact on the final product. The robotic water jet cutter brings both precision and efficiencies to the manufacturing floor. The result: Design Tanks can build higher quality tanks in less time and in a safer environment. That’s a win-win for the customer, Design Tanks, and its employees. 

The year 2010 was an interesting one at Design Tanks. In spite of the down economy, it was a good year in terms of sales, even though it was probably the most difficult year ever to manage. Not because of the volume, but rather the erratic pace of business. This past year, slow periods on our manufacturing floor would be followed immediately by hectic production, due primarily to many customers’ needs for quick turn-around times on orders. Managing that continual stop-and-start pace was a challenge.
